O que significa “all in all” em inglês?

“… all in all, you’re just another brick in the wall…” é com a famosa música Another Brick in the Wall, da banda inglesa Pink Floyd, que começamos nosso post de hoje. O que será que significa all in all? Vamos descobrir!

O mais interessante dessa popular expressão no inglês é que ela pode ter alguns significados diferentes em português. Entre eles temos: de modo geral, apesar de tudo, no geral, considerando tudo, no fim das contas, no final das contas, etc. Vejam alguns exemplos:
